Being called to serve is the foundation of the Lasallian education at La Salle. Students are encouraged to serve others through various charities and social service programs. Here are some recommended programs.

  • GODOGOOD is an opportunity to put our faith into action by serving Christ through serving others. The Campus Ministry team is offering opportunities to serve at St. Francis Seraph Soup Kitchen and through Fighting Chance at Golden Gloves in OTR.
  • Our Daily Bread provides a warm meal in a safe place for all who come, a place where all are invited to be part of a community that is caring, supportive, accepting and welcoming. The heart of Our Daily Bread ministry is to respond to the needs of the poor; to accept His invitation to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God and those whom He sends us each day. Learn more on their website: http://www.ourdailybread.us/
  • St. Francis Seraph Soup Kitchen ministry is dedicated to supplying immediate food needs to the hungry. Meals are provided and prepared by caring people, allowing guests the opportunity for fellowship by sharing a meal in a dignified manner.
  • The Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. The Big Brothers Big Sisters Vision is that all children achieve success in school and in life. Learn more on their website at https://www.bigsforkids.org/
  • During the summer months at many of the local parishes there are numerous opportunities to get involved such as Vacation Bible School (VBS), summer festivals, summer neighborhood clean-ups, just to name a few. Learn more online at https://catholicaoc.org/.
  • InnerView is the leading youth platform to help students, groups, and schools highlight community service impact, passion for causes, and connect local effort to the UN Global Goals. All college and high school-aged students are welcome to join thousands of students who have developed dynamic visual service resumes through my.InnerView.org.
