After 28 years as La Salle's Head Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach, Mike Lienhart is retiring from his position with the swimming and diving program. Mike will continue his position as a faculty member at La Salle.

Mike has been the Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach at La Salle since 1991. He has coached nine individual Sectional Champions, one District Champion and 98 swimmers and divers in the State Championship Meet during his tenure. Mike has earned the GCL Coach of the Year Award five times (1999, 2000, 2003, 2013, 2019) and the Southwest District Coach of the Year Award in 2000. He was inducted into La Salle's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.

"Mike Lienhart has had a tremendous impact on La Salle's swimming program for over two and a half decades," said La Salle Principal Aaron Marshall. "While influencing countless student-athletes in immeasurable ways, Mike has been a role model for many. As much as we will miss Mike as our coach, we look forward to him continuing to make a difference in the classroom as a teacher."

The search for the next head varsity swimming and diving coach will begin immediately. Letters of interest can be sent to Aaron Marshall at Amarshall@lasallehs.net.
