La Salle senior, Jimmy Wissel, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout after completing his Eagle Board of Review on November 14, 2018. He has been a member of Troop 935, chartered to St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shandon, since February 2012. In addition to serving as Troop Historian and Troop Scribe, Jimmy served as Assistant Patrol Leader at the 2017 National Jamboree.

His Eagle Project was leading 15 volunteers for a total 223 hours in the building and installing of an information kiosk at Governor Bebb Campground, part of Butler County Metro Parks.

Involved in scouting since joining as a Tiger in first grade, Jimmy's favorite memories include many summer camps, Peterloon, Klondike Derbies, the trip to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, NYLT and the 2017 National Jamboree.

At La Salle, Jimmy's success in Science and Math has led him to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering after graduation. Service to others through a 4 yr. involvement in Key Club and a junior year LYSIT that he hopes to repeat during senior year, prove that the Scout Oath and Law are an integral part of his character. He hopes to continue his 8+ year steel drum band membership by finding a college band in need of a double seconds player.

Congratulations to Jimmy on earning the highest award with the Boy Scouts of America, the Eagle Scout!
