Media Center

La Salle High School is sponsoring a Medicare and Social Security seminar free of charge to alumni, parents, grandparents, friends and members of the community on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 6:00 pm in La Salle Media Center. Presenters will be Geoff Ziegler, Edward Jones, and Heather Dulle, Protective Life Insurance.

Medicare is the key source of health care coverage for retirees ages 65 and older; however, it's not designed to pay all health care costs in retirement. Medicare doesn't cover many items, so it's important to understand what costs you'll still be responsible for as you consider your health care expenses in retirement. In fact, Medicare is making some changes to many programs in the next few years. Do you know how your Medicare will be impacted?

Determining when to start taking Social Security benefits is a very personal decision and one of the most important financial choices you will make as you plan for retirement. The rules are complex, and your decision can depend on a variety of issues unique to you.
