FIVE PILLARS OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Not long after the La Salle Alumni Leadership Council was formed in the fall of 2014,we decided to organize around our five pillars. For many recent alumni of La Salle, these five pillars define their four years at La Salle. The decision to carry these five pillars over to the alumni association was an easy one. Although slightly different in their meaning within the alumni association, the five pillars exemplify what it means to be a La Salle alumnus. They are the educational foundation for each student and continue to be a Lasallian barometer for alumni upon graduation.
The La Salle Alumni Association plans, organizes, and sponsors activities and events that extend these pillars into the lives of La Salle Alumni across the world.
As Lancers, we are all called to serve. Through the service pillar, you will have an outlet to service La Salle, our local community, as well as communities abroad. The service pillar is a great way to rekindle friendships with your fellow alumni and forge new bonds with Lancers young and old.
We are planning several service opportunities including
- Campus Cleanup - come join forces with the athletics department to get all facilities ready for the upcoming school year
- Truck Full of Love – join fellow alumni and current students to collect canned food for the Little Sisters of the Poor
- Lancers Serving Lancers – work side by side with alumni from every generation to give back to fellow Lancers in need
These are just a few example of service events planned but we need you help! Do you have an idea of your own for an event? Would just like get engaged by giving back with your time and “sweat equity”?If you have any questions related to the Alumni Leadership Council Service Pillar please contact Greg Lynch ’91 at email@example.com he’s always looking to add a few more Lancers to his committee.
