Career Research Program
As part of the Guidance resources, the Career Research Program is developed to broaden student's experience with different careers.
Juniors and Seniors
A survey was given asking the students to pick their top three career interests. The Guidance Office plans to have one speaker per week starting in mid November from different careers to meet with Juniors and Seniors who sign up. This will continue through April. The students will sign up electronically for their top three career interests. The presentation times will vary depending upon availability of the presenters. More information will be given to the students as presenters are scheduled.
Freshmen and Sophomores
The Guidance Office plans to have three speakers per grade level two times per year using the flex time. Students will have the opportunity to hear from six different speakers throughout the year on different careers to gain knowledge on their daily duties, related careers, typical work environments, level of education required as well as classes taken and important personal qualities. More information will be given to the students as presenters are scheduled during the flex time.
