College Credit Plus
Ohio’s new College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course from a public college or university College Credit Plus is free. That means no cost for tuition, books or fees. If you choose to attend a private college or university, you may have limited costs.
State Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Timeline
February - ODE will public "Letter of Intent to Participate for Nonpublic School Students" . This is the letter students will need to submit to apply for CCP. This should be submitted as soon as possible. In addition, there is an application for state tuition funding to cover CCP tuition costs. This application should be submitted as soon as the student decides on what school/ courses they are interested in.
February - La Salle students submit all materials to apply for specific college of choice for all courses: Summer, Fall, and Spring. This alerts the school for transcripts to be sent.
April - Deadline for all students to submit "Letter of Intent to Participate" to ODE.
April - Deadline for all students to submit application for tuition funding to ODE.
College General Timeline (see individual schools for specific deadlines)
February, March, April- Take the SAT or ACT. Most college require test scores for admission.
February/ March- Fill out and submit application to college(s) for CCP
May/ June- Schools will start mailing out acceptance letters per their own timeline. See school's individual website for specific information about class scheduling, parking, books, fees, advising, and deadlines.
