Lancers are back in the classroom beginning March 1
As we mentioned in our January communication, we have evaluated the learning environment, safety precautions and COVID-19 cases at La Salle and want to update you on our online learning option as we near March 1.
Nearly all of our faculty and staff have opted to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and will have received both doses by February 22. Our data indicates that we haven't had a spread of COVID-19 in our classrooms and therefore we are going back to our in-person learning model we implemented at the start of the school year.
- Students are required to return to in-person learning beginning on March 1 unless there is a documented medical issue that precludes your son from being able to participate in-person. In this case, please contact his school counselor.
- Students who already have medical documentation on file do not need to resubmit anything and may continue with online learning.
Attendance policy reminders (review the handbook for specifics):
-
A parent/guardian must call 513-741-2662 or email the Attendance Office at attendance@lasallehs.net before 8:00 a.m. to report the student’s absence and indicate the reason. Failure to do this will result in the student being considered truant. Review the handbook for additional information.
- Any student who has an excused absence is permitted to make up missed work. Students with unexcused absences are not permitted to make up work, even if they attend class online. Visit the handbook for the complete policy regarding missing work as a result of an excused absence.
We are excited to have all of our students back in the building and look forward to a productive and energetic spring! If you have additional questions, please contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Trish Miller
Associate Principal
