La Salle names Brian Heidorn new director of alumni relations

We are excited to announce that Brian Heidorn ‘86 has accepted the position as our new director of alumni relations!

Brian has served the Lancers in several capacities since graduating from La Salle in 1986. He was a math teacher, computer science teacher, math department chair and computer hardware manager, as well as a school leader and committed member for school fundraisers. He currently serves as the dean of students. He is the recipient of several La Salle awards including the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019, De La Salle Service Award in 2014 and Alumni Service Award in 2012 to name a few.

“I am excited for another opportunity to continue to do important work at this great institution which we all know as the brotherhood called La Salle High School,” Brian said. “I am looking forward to informing all of our alumni about the wonderful things that have occurred in our past, share what we are doing now and describe what is planned for the future.”

Brian will be the liaison between La Salle High School and our nearly 12,000 graduates. He will support alumni engagement efforts through events and social media and work closely with the director of advancement to continue moving La Salle forward with our Always Be Renovation efforts.

“We are thrilled to have Brian take on his new role of director of alumni relations,” Principal Aaron Marshall shared. “The Heidorn name is synonymous with La Salle High School. I am excited to work with Brian as we continue to engage our alumni and build upon our rich history.”

From Brian’s father Pat ’66, to his uncles Ray ’64 and Rick ’74, brothers Steve ‘88, Jason ‘99, David ‘04 and cousin Doug ‘88, Brian’s family has played a significant role in our school’s history. His son Noah will graduate with the class of 2021 on May 30.

“Being the son and nephew of La Salle alumni, and working so closely with our students and staff in the building for over 30 years I have a unique perspective,” Brian added. “I cannot wait to share stories of our graduates and highlight how we honor our traditions and set the same expectations for our current students.”

Brian will begin working with the advancement team on June 1.
