Spirit shop extended hours

Adult tickets for the varsity La Salle vs Elder football game are on sale in the Athletic Office, Business Office and Spirit Shop.  Limited student tickets are available through the Athletic Office and Business Office.  The Spirit Shop will have extended hours on Thursday, October 30 from 10 am - 1:30 pm and 6-8 pm during the canned food drive.  Additional hours on Friday will be 10 am - 4 pm.  Stop on in for your tickets and Lancer-wear!  New items include spirit gloves, hats, ladies tops, and mens sweatpants.

Just a reminder that student buses are available for transportation to and from the game for La Salle, Mc Auley and Mercy students.  A release form must be submitted to reserve your spot on the bus.  Please fill out the Google form:

The Wedding Singer
The Fall musical, "The Wedding Singer", opens October 24 and runs Oct 24, 25, & 26, and Nov 1 & 2.  Tickets are available to purchase online.

Admission Nights on October 21 & November 19
The Admissions Office will be hosting 2 more Admissions Nights on October 21 and November 19.  These information nights are a great opportunity to learn more about La Salle, meet members of the Admission Staff, and hear from a parent of a current La Salle student.  For more information, click here for the Cincinnati Share article.

Bumpus '15 earns Honda-OSU Math Medal Award
Matthew Bumpus '15 has been selected to be a recipient of the Honda-OSU Math Medal Award at a special ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 1 at General Electric Aviation's Learning Center in Cincinnati. Matthew is 1 of only 230 high school seniors selected in Ohio.

Ben Merk named National Merit Semifinalist
Ben Merk has been named a National Merit Semifinalist.  Ben has been very involved with LSI, Signum Fidei and Pray Hope Believe Foundation made in his brother's, Tony, memory.  The full news story if available by clicking here

Band wants students to LEAP into music
The La Salle music program is starting a new program for elementary students to LEAP into music: La Salle Elementary Artists Program.  The program is designed for both beginning musicians as well as experiences musicians to learn in a fun environment.  Lessons are at La Salle after school. 

Three La Salle teachers recognized as tops in profession
Today's new little known fact: The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Schools have only nine recognized Master Teachers at the high school level. La Salle has THREE of them.

Women's Bootcamp Fall Session
Womens Bootcamp Fall Session starts Tuesday, September 9 with 2 new instructors!  Steven Schreck and Laura Taphorn are co-teaching the fall session.  Classes are Tuesday and Thursday morning from 6-6:45 am at La Salle High School.  For more information and registration, click on www.lasallehs.net/bootcamp.

The Spirit Shop has re-opened with a new Manager and a new look!  Come on in during the week or on Saturdays to see the new changes!

Join the excitement at La Salle High School by becoming an exclusive member of the WLSN Kids Club.

Kroger Rewards Program helps La Salle
Thank you to all the La Salle supporters that registered for the Kroger Rewards Program.  Your support helped raise over $9300 for La Salle.  Dan Flynn represented La Salle at the award event on Wednesday, June 25.

LPC Art Award Competition
ART AWARD COMPETITION DEADLINE EXTENDED until Monday, May 19!
Introducing… the La Salle Parent Council Inaugural Art Award Competition: The La Salle Parent Council (LPC) will present the first $100 ART AWARD before the end of the 2013-2014 school year. The competition is open to ALL current La Salle High School students. Students in all grades and all artistic levels are encouraged to enter! The winner will be granted an award of $100, and the winning artwork will be displayed prominently at La Salle High School. Artwork must be dropped off at the La Salle High School main office. The Deadline is 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19th. Each student may enter only one (1) original piece of art and must submit a Student Information and Release Form (page 3 of Official Guidelines). After meeting the initial requirements, judging will be based on Creativity, Originality, Artistic Communication and Artistic Form.

Leading Today, Leading Tomorrow
Congratulations to senior Sam Hoesl for being accepted into the Sidney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy (PLA) at Bowling Green State University. Sam will join La Salle Alumni and former DLSFI Senior Leaders Kyle Jacob '11, Samuel Fronk '12, Travis Robertson '12, and Matthew Henkes '13 as a PLA Scholar.

Scrip gift cards now available!

Scrip Gift Card Program News from Angie Frigge - La Salle Scrip Program has added "on demand" gift card sales. Select gift cards are available for immediate purchase from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. by students only. The cards can be purchased in Greg Tankersley/Angie Frigge's office which is located on the 2nd floor across the hall from the west office wing (counseling, athletics, etc). "On demand" gift cards include Chipotle, Subway, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, Papa Johns, and Qdoba. If you are interested in purchasing a card, please have your son bring cash or check to their office. This is a great way for a student to get a snack/meal after school and help La Salle at the same time!

Parents, do you still like the pen & paper method of ordering? Paper copies of the Scrip Card ordering form are available in Greg Tankersley/Angie Frigge's office on the 2nd floor. Ask your son to pick up one. If you have any questions, please contact Angie Frigge at

Red and White Dance


The Red and White Dance is La Salle's winter formal.  It traditionally occurs during January in the La Salle High School gym.  All sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited and encouraged to attend.
