La Salle High School - Cincinnati - De La Salle Cup Competition

Foundation Competition

On a yearly basis the eight Signum Fidei Foundations and the Senior Foundation will compete for the De La Salle Cup. The Foundation that acquires the most points in a competition series will earn the De La Salle Cup. The competitions will focus on academics, service, leadership, athletics/school performances, and general school spirit-generating activities.

Overview

The ultimate objective of the Foundation Competition is to foster school wide competition and promote school spirit, while at the same time breaking down class lines and coming together as a student body in the name of healthy competition. The activities sponsored through the Foundation Competition will be centered on student life and the five Lasallian pillars of Faith, Service, Community, Scholarship, and Leadership.

Process
Students will receive credit for attending sponsored events by having a Signum Fidei leader scan their student IDs. For their attendance, they will receive point, deemed by Signum Fidei, towards their total foundation score for the quarter. At the end of the 1^st and 2^nd quarter the leading foundation will be recognized.

Possible Incentives include, but are not limited to:

Dress-down
Pancake breakfast served by the Principal
Grilled lunch
Donuts

Winning Foundation
At the end of the 3rd quarter the winning Foundation will be announced. The Foundation will have the year and their name engraved on the De La Salle Cup and recieve a day at Camp Joy on the high ropes course.

9/22 Homecoming Dance
9/23 Movie Night at 7:00pm
9/24 - 9/28 Homecoming Events
9/28 Moeller football game at 7:30pm
9/29 LaSalle soccer game at 3 vs. Moeller (tailgate at 1:00pm)
10/5 St. Xavier football game at 7:30pm
10/6 Band at LaSalle at 6 pm
10/8-10/12 Frenzy
