Setup

  1. Click Add Element
  2. Select Content Element
  3. Click here to add content
  4. Add content
  5. Click Save in Content Editor
  6. Publish Changes

How to Update Your Homepage Slideshow
  1. CROP the new images you want to add into the rotation to 1400 pixels wide X 450 pixels high
  2. Open up the Multimedia Manager
  3. Click the Media Tab
  4. Choose the “Slideshows” channel
  5. Then choose the “Homepage Slideshow” folder
  6. Choose the “Home Slideshow” slideshow
  7. To add more images to the slideshow a. Click “Add Media” b. Select or drag/drop the new images form your desktop to the window that appears c. Click “+ Add Files” d. The files will load and the window will close. e. Give the systems a few minute to finalize the load and refresh
  8. To remove old images you no longer want on the homepage a. Hover over the image you want to remove b. In the sidebar that display on the left when you hover, choose the trash can/delete icon
  9. Update the text over each image a. Open the setting for each image b. The image Title will be the headline on the photo in the slideshow c. The Photo Description will be the text and link over the photo
  10. Once you’ve made your changes give the systems a second to catch up with you.
  11. Head to the homepage and check out your beautiful photos

How to Add News to the Homepage News Section
  1. CROP thumbnail images to 365 pixels wide X 300 pixels high
  2. Open News Manager
  3. Create a new post
  4. Add thumbnail, title, body copy, rich text summary and other information to the story
  5. Link the story to the “Homepage News” category 6. Publish the story and it should filter to the homepage


How to Update the fixed background images on the homepage
  1. CROP the new images you want to add into the rotation to 2800 pixels wide X 900 pixels high
  2. Load them to File Manager
  3. Open the Composer tab
  4. Click “Pages”
  5. Open the Home Page
  6. Turn compose mode on
  7. Scroll to the fixed image you want to update
  8. Hover over the image
  9. You will see two set of icons appear in the upper right corner of the image
  10. You want to select the gear icon from the set that is higher.
  11. Click “+ Design”
  12. In the setting that appear locate the BROWSE button next to the “Background Image” line
  13. Locate and select the new image you want
  14. Save the element settings

How to update the Calendars on the homepage
  1. Open the Composer tab
  2. Click “Pages”
  3. Open the Home Page
  4. Turn compose mode on
  5. Scroll to the calendar
  6. To update the calendars filtering to this section
    1. Hover over the calendar element
    2. Click the GEAR ICON that appears in the upper right corner
    3. In the calendars dropdown menu, select the calendars that should appear on this page
  7. To add events to the calendars
    1. Open calendar manager and add new events to the calendars connected to the homepage element


How to update the Quote Slider on the homepage

  1. Open the Composer tab
  2. Click “Pages”
  3. Open the Home Page
  4. Turn compose mode on
  5. Scroll to the slider
  6. Each slide in the slider is a new Content Element in this area. Each one is stacked one on top of the other
  7. To edit an existing slide
    1. Hover over the slide you want to update
    2. Click “Edit Content”
    3. Update the content as desired
    4. All text is set to Normal Text
    5. The italic font should be set to ITALIC style
    6. save
  8. To delete a slide
    1. Hover over the element you want to delete
    2. Click the trash can icon that appears in the upper right corner
  9. To add a slide
    1. Hover over an existing slide
    2. When you see “Add Element” appear click that
    3. Add a new CONTENT element
    4. Enter the text for the slide in the content element
    5. All text is set to Normal Text
    6. The italic font should be set to ITALIC style
    7. Save
  10. To rearrange the order
    1. Hover over an element until you see the four (4) icons in the upper right corner
    2. Click and drag on the blue cross-hatch icon
    3. Drop the element above or below an existing one DO THIS SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY

How to update the Colored Buttons in the Header
  1. Open the Composer tab
  2. Click “Elements”
  3. Choose the “Header Buttons” element
  4. Hover over the button text you want to update
  5. Click on the existing text to edit
  6. Update the link text
  7. Update the link
    1. Should the link lose its style use the following:
    2. Callout 1, Callout 2 or Callout-Button to replay the blue, yellow or green button style
  8. Save the element
  9. Publish the element


How to update the Links in the Header
  1. Open the Composer tab
  2. Click “Elements”
  3. Choose the “Header Quick Links” element
  4. Click on the links to edit
  5. Update the links and text as desired
    1. Each link should be in its own line un the bulleted list
    2. NO MORE than 4 links
  6. Save the element when done
  7. Publish the element


How to update the Footer
  1. Open the Composer tab
  2. Click “Banners”
  3. Open the Default Footer banner
  4. Things you can update:
    1. School address
    2. Where the social link connect
    3. Office info
    4. Where the last 2 links connect
  5. Things you should avoid changing
    1. Text for school name
    2. Text of social outlets
    3. Layout of the elements on the banner
    4. Don't add or delete
  6. Save and publish the banner


How to Update Dropdown Menus

  1. CROP the new images you want in the dropdown menu to 220 pixels wide X 285 pixels high
  2. Load them to File Manager
  3. Open the Composer tab
  4. Click “Pages”
  5. Select the main level page you want to update the menu text for
    1. For example, if you want to change the “About” dropdown menu, you will click on the “About” page
  6. When you are on the main level page, click the Pink Gear icon in the lower Right corner of the page
  7. The Page Setting box should appear
  8. Click “Nav Info”
  9. Update the text:
    1. Under the “Description” section, enter the content you want in the dropdown menu.
      1. Headlines should be set to H4
      2. You can make links in this area
  10. Update the Image
    1. Click the BROWSE button next to the “Page Thumbnail” line
    2. Locate and select the new image you want
  11. Save the Page settings
  12. Once the settings are saved, preview the dropdowns
  13. If happy, publish the pages and the dropdowns will be live


How to add a styled button to any content area

  1. Enter the text you want on the button into a content element
  2. Highlight the text
  3. Click “insert/edit link” in the editor
  4. Set up the link but before you hit save follow step 5
  5. With the link settings open click on the “Class” dropdown
  6. Choose the button style you want
    1. Callout 1 = large blue button (white text serif font)
    2. Callout 2 = large red button (white text serif font)
    3. Callout 3 = large grey button (white text serif font)
    4. Callout 4 = large yellow button (white text serif font)
    5. Callout 5 = large black button (white text serif font)
    6. Callout-Button = large green button (white text serif font)
    7. Button = small grey button (yellow text san-serif font)
    8. Hollow Button = Small grey outlined button
    9. Color button = small yellow button (white text san-serif font)
  7. Save element
