The post secondary enrollment options program (PSEO) offered through various local colleges and universities is one way for students to earn college credit during their years at La Salle. The purpose of the program is to provide enriched education opportunities to seniors that are beyond the opportunities offered by La Salle High School and can be financed either by the State Department of Education or by the student and his parents.
Under Option “A”, the participant or parents are responsible for all costs. Students or parents may elect upon enrollment whether to receive only college credit or high school credit and college credit for the course. If the decision is to receive both high school and college credit and successfully completes the course, the college and high school shall both award full credit.
Under Option “B”, the student receives both high school and college credit with the State Department of Education being responsible for the costs.
Juniors interested in the PSEO should contact their guidance counselor for specific information and plan on attending the informational meeting in early March.
